My Big Fat Greek Mother's Day
This Sunday is Mother’s Day. So what are you planning for dear ole mom?
Perhaps a lovely arrangement of flowers, a tastefully framed picture of yourself, a gift certificate for a day of pampering at the spa, breakfast in bed or the obligatory brunch on the peninsula?
Well, this year why not surprise Mommy Dearest with something that’s totally fun, different and (best of all) doesn’t require any prep work or reservations!
It just so happens that Charleston’s annual Greek Festival is this weekend, featuring a veritable ‘plethora’ (from the Greek meaning ‘over abundance’) of incredible food, wine, pastries, Hellenic culture, dancing and musical entertainment. Your “Mama Mia” will think she’s on the movie set in Greece!
And there’s no other place you can take her Sunday that is so sure to have something to please everyone in the family. From kiddo to Gramps.
Admission is only $3, and mothers get in for free!
And if your mother is a vegetarian, not to worry…they have lamb!
Oopah, ya’ll!
